Nature seekers, the National Park Service is offering entrance fee-free days in 2023, including Big Bend National Park.

Park Hours: With the exception of the Kahuku Unit, Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The Kahuku Unit is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. Entrance Fee: $30 per non-commercial vehicle, valid for 7 days
Operators in Big Bend NP must be familiar with park guidelines for motorcoaches and buses. On May 26, 2020, the National Park Service announced it will not standardize the Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) requirement for road-based commercial tours and will not raise commercial tour entrance fees from current rates. The Fossil Discovery Exhibit is located 8 miles north of Panther Junction on the Persimmon Gap Entrance Road (Highway 385). The exhibit is open from dawn to dusk. A shaded picnic area is nearby, and it has an assortment of fossil-themed climbing structures for children. The exhibit is fully accessible by wheelchair.
